Gnash & Marc E. Bassy Bring AFE Tour to Troops in Japan

Singer-songwriter duo bringing unique concert series to military this fall

Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) announced today that gnash and Marc E. Bassy are co-headlining a tour in Japan this October. The tour will bring these musicians’ unique music styles to troops stationed across the region from Oct. 21 through Oct. 26, 2019. This one-of-a-kind singer-songwriter joint tour will showcase the artists’ heartfelt lyrics colliding with melodic choruses over electronic beats. This will mark the first AFE tour for both artists.
The upcoming tour dates include:

  • Oct. 21; Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan
  • Oct. 22; Yokota Air Base, Japan
  • Oct. 23; Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan
  • Oct. 24; Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan
  • Oct. 26; Camp Kinser Festival, Okinawa, Japan

After rising acclaim from his hit single, “i hate u, i love u” ft. Olivia O’Brien, which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Top 100, gnash has been recognized for his distinctive style of alternative hip-hop that isn’t shy of being emotional and true to his feelings.
“I am really excited to come overseas and play songs in Japan. I’m feeling extremely grateful to be given this opportunity for my first time in Japan to be with our amazing troops and their families!” said gnash.

San Francisco-born singer-songwriter Bassy has struck success in his solo career and through stunning collabs with artists such as G-Eazy. After touring with fellow Bay Area artist Rexx Life Raj, Bassy has turned his attention to his recently released sophomore album “PMD,” available Sept. 27, 2019.
“This tour will be my first time partnering with AFE and also my time touring Japan. I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to support our troops overseas and to offer them a little piece of home through my music,” said Bassy.

In addition to shows throughout the tour, meet-and-greets will also be hosted for troops. All AFE events are FREE to service members, their families and guests who have appropriate access to the military base.
