Sharing Good Vibes this International Country Music Day
News

You’re not afraid to get a little down and dirty, so why should your music? Come celebrate International Country Music Day with AFE.

Thursday, September 17th is International Country music day! On this day, we celebrate the country music musicians and fans across the world just like you. What better way to celebrate our service members stationed across the world?
To fully embrace International Country Music Day, we just have to share our favorite AFE country artists? And every one of them is a favorite to be sure.
Need to kick back and relax? Big & Rich has a song for that. Need to fix a wounded heart? Eli Young Band’s a good place to start. Just need a reason to stay hydrated? Put on Justin Moore’s That’s Why We Drink.
Check out our AFE music hub to find out more about all of our favorite AFE Artists and genres. Plus, if you’re a fan of comedy, check out our comedy hub.
At the end of the day, we know that besides the tired cliches of cowboy boots, hound dogs, and pickup trucks, the roots of country music run deep in a culture of hardworking people doing an honest day’s work. Country music isn’t afraid to get a little down and dirty.
Whether your roots are in honky-tonk, bluegrass, Texas country, alt-country, or pop country, we’ve got a song and an artist for you.

Did someone say pickup truck? Truck yeah we did!

Follow our Country Music Day playlist on Spotify. We’re serving up a big plate of country tunes from AFE Artists Big & Rich, Darius Rucker, Kevin Fowler, Eli Young Band, and Aaron Lewis.

Plus we’ve got timeless country from George Strait, Luke Bryan, Alan Jackson, Blake Shelton and more.

“Got a nose that can smell a two-day trail, he’s a four-legged tracking machine.” Some days, it just seems right listening to a country classic like Ol’ Red by Blake Shelton.

Armed Forces Entertainment has been honored to bring you these country superstars and hometown heroes across the globe, all to bring you a little slice of home and hospitality. It’s servicemembers like you who keep our mission alive.
As live events and touring resume in the near future, we’re excited to be bringing you even more happy memories of home.

Big & Rich brought home just a little bit closer in 2016, when they taped two holiday episodes with the troops in Bahrain.

Chris Kroeze made several stops all over the Middle East and Africa as a July 4th Heat Wave headliner in 2019. Here’s to more years of touring with AFE!
Darius Rucker performs for the troops at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek-Fort Story. The Wagon Wheel singer’s favorite part of touring for the troops is feeling like he’s a part of something greater.

AFE veteran and Denver native Rachel Lipsky plays to servicemen from the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, and 4th Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division stationed in Jalalabad, Afghanistan.

Eli Young Band play in support for troops at a special Veteran’s Day tribute concert in 2018. The Texas country outfit is proud to tour for our nation’s brave heroes.

Rodney Atkins joins retired Lt. General Huber for a 9/11 remembrance ceremony in 2019. Catch his 2020 benefit concert here in support of veterans and Operation Song.
