Stone Temple Pilots Headline RIMPAC to Celebrate America

Armed Forces Entertainment is excited to present an Independence Day performance by Stone Temple Pilots during the 2018 Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise. The July 4th concert, which will be held at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, is part of the scheduled festivities surrounding the holiday.
According to the official website of the United States Navy, 26 nations, 47 surface ships, five submarines, 18 national land forces, and more than 200 aircraft and 25,000 personnel will be participating in the biennial exercise.
Not only U.S. military personnel who are involved with the exercise but also those who are stationed at nearby bases typically attend the celebratory concert. Audiences for the special performance will also consist of military personnel from the participating nations, which include Australia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Colombia, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Tonga, the United Kingdom and Vietnam.
This highly-anticipated performance is part of AFE’s “Heat Wave” tour series, which will be starting in late June and span the 4th of July timeframe. The tour series includes 12 hot music and comedy acts who will be performing for more than 50,000 U.S. service members and their families stationed around the world.
Other AFE acts that have headlined the RIMPAC Independence Day festivities include 3 Days Grace and 3 Doors Down.
