Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) will showcase America’s famed dance crew, The Jabbawockeez, February 7-16. The Jabbawockeez tour will bring free, dance productions to troops and their families, highlighting the creativity, choreography, athleticism and intricate synchronization the dance ensemble is known for.

The dance production stops include:

  • Feb. 7 – NAF Atsugi, Japan
  • Feb. 8 – Yokota AB, Japan
  • Feb. 9 – CFA Yokosuka, Japan
  • Feb. 12 – Misawa AB, Japan
  • Feb. 14 – MCAS Iwakuni, Japan
  • Feb. 16 – Camp Hansen, Okinawa

“We are extremely grateful for the men and women serving in the military, and are humbled to be visiting a few bases in Japan this February sharing our art through dance. This tour is just a way to say thank you to the troops for what they do for our country, while allowing us to pursue our JREAMZ,” said crew member, Phil Tayag.

Recognized across the globe for their unique hip-hop dance style, signature white masks and gloves, The Jabbawockeez gained the national spotlight on America’s Got Talent in 2006. After winning MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew, they became universally recognized as the country’s most talented dance ensemble. They have appeared on numerous national television shows, performed at major events such as the Billboard Music Awards, and now host their original JREAM Journey Within show at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Jabbawockeez shows combine dance, drama and comedy while taking the audience on an up-close-and-personal voyage through the adventures of the loveable characters PJ, Style, Whimsicality, Audacity and Gee. Featuring the iconic white masks and intricate dance moves that the dancers are known for, the show will include choreography developed specifically for this tour in Japan. Jabbawockeez is cutting-edge entertainment at its best, and has been voted “Best Family Show” and “Best All Ages Show” in Las Vegas four years in a row by In Vegas Magazine.

All AFE events are FREE to service members, their families and guests who have appropriate access to the military base. The Jabbawockeez Japan tour is just one of the many AFE events touring in 2019. For more information on upcoming events, click here
