Two action-packed shows set to thrill U.S. military personnel and families overseas

Armed Forces Entertainment will release the first episode of the new AFE Variety Show on May 15, 2021. Episode 2 will go live on May 22, 2021.

Hosted by popular illusionist Rob Lake, the virtual variety show features headlining musicians, comedians, magicians, puppeteers and animal acts from around the world. Many of the performers have been featured on America’s Got Talent, Masters of Illusion, and American Idol.

Episode 1 will showcase the talents of electrifying violinist Brian King Joseph, the brilliantly trained Dominguez Poodles, amazing comedic magic of Air Force veteran Joe Comet, the inspirational vocals of diva Christina Wells, up-and-coming young ventriloquist Shane Selloria, and an offbeat, cheeky cabaret performance from Hans.

The Episode 2 lineup includes the energetic dance group The Future Kings, telekinetic mental magic from Lioz, the hilarious observations of Vicki Barbolak, young illusionist Diego Chavez, who was inspired by Rob Lake’s AFE performance some years back, and American Idol Season 15 winner Trent Harmon, and the emotionally insightful spoken word poetry of Brandon Leake, the most recent winner of America’s Got Talent.

“I’m thrilled to be anchoring this supersized show of non-stop entertainment for AFE,” says show host and co-producer Rob Lake. “Speaking for all of us, we feel honored to be using our talents to support our troops and their families overseas. It is truly our pleasure to be part of this mission.”

The virtual AFE Variety Show, along with countless other performances, can be streamed anytime for free from the Armed Forces Entertainment YouTube page. Page subscribers can sign up to receive alerts on all upcoming virtual shows.
