May 1, 2023 – The Pamela Hopkins Band, a dueling piano and interactive live show group from Little Rock, AR, will be touring with Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) as part of their annual Heat Wave campaign. The campaign will be running from Monday, July 3 to Friday, July 14, 2023. The band is scheduled to perform seven shows throughout the Pacific region and is comprised of lead singer Pamela Hopkins, along with Denny Hechevarria and Lonnie Abbott.

Pamela Hopkins, from Little Rock, AR, and has been singing ever since she can remember. She started as a cello player in the 5th grade and continued playing and singing through college. A multi-instrumentalist, she started her professional music career as a dueling piano player almost 10 years ago, where she honed her performance skills and picked up several more instruments including the drums, bass guitar, and harmonica. Over the last 6 years, she has been busy writing and releasing original country music. Her band specializes in country music, southern and classic rock covers, and original tunes.

Denny Hechevarria is a Cuban/Ecuadorian bassist born and raised in Miami, FL. He has toured extensively for over a decade, averaging over 150 shows a year. He plays with various artists and bands including Megan Ruger, Styles Haury, Prince Royce, Lost Stars, Matt Rogers, Ultimate Aldean, The Garth Guy, and Brady Rymer, and has played on the same bill as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Luke Bryan, Uncle Kracker, Brett Eldredge, Jimmie Allen, and more. Denny currently resides in Las Vegas, NV.

Lonnie Abbott, also from Little Rock, AR, has been involved in music since the age of three. He started playing piano and then switched to violin at the age of nine. As his interest in music grew, he started playing the drums at 10 years old and guitar at 16. Lonnie has played everything from country to metal, as well as classical and jazz. Over the years, Abbott has performed with many bands, orchestras, and choirs across the United States. He has written music for marching bands, and his music has been played and heard all over the American South. He has a degree in music and enjoys performing every chance he gets. Abbott and Hopkins do a lot of acoustic duo shows when in Arkansas, and he is also the band leader of her in-state band.

The tour is presented by AFE. Since 1951, AFE has been providing the best performances for U.S. troops and their families stationed overseas, and they are committed to boosting the morale and well-being of service members through world-class live events and performances.
