Tour FAQs
  • How do I get schedule information on specific shows?

We make it easy. The calendar and menu of events are categorized by genre and region, right here on our site.

  • Why do entertainers perform for the military?

Performers need to perform. It's in their DNA. Plus, going on tour with Armed Forces Entertainment is an opportunity for artists to give back and honor the sacrifices deployed servicemembers and their families make on behalf of our country. For up-and-coming artists, touring with AFE is a great way to build an audience. For established artists, it's an up-close-and-personal way to say thanks to fans.

  • How much do tickets cost?

It's FREE to attend every Armed Forces Entertainment show. Every single show, every single time.

  • Why are there occasional schedule changes?

Sometimes emergencies and personal challenges pop up for scheduled artists. Add the uncertainty of world politics, and tour agendas inevitably shift. We rush the updates to the effected venue and make changes to the online show schedule as quickly as possible. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen, and we're sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Can I invite non-military people to AFE events?

It depends on the rules of your installation. In general, yes, non-military guests are allowed at AFE shows. But military personnel are our priority.

Richie Holliday

Described as a human cartoon, Richie Holliday uses a whimsical intuition and hilarious physicality to craft a fun, silly, and energetic show.

Mark Sweeney

Mark Sweeney is the oldest of six children and learned quickly that being funny gets attention. Most of his grade school years were spent sitting in the hall alone perfecting and weaving his craft to an imaginary crowd. After high school, Mark joined the Marines and spent 4 years exploring the globe with unbridled enthusiasm. He graduated from college and embarked on a series of jobs that never completely satisfied.

After one open mic, Sweeney quit his job to become a comedian. He spent 6 years in Los Angeles appeared on episodes of “Boston Public”, “The Visitor,” and “Days of Our Lives.” He has also been featured in motion pictures like “Killshot”, “Running Mates,” and “Saving Grace B. Jones”. He is also an accomplished author.

From the plains of the Midwest to the hills of Kyrgyzstan and the sandstorms of Iraq to the mountains of Afghanistan, you can see why he is the funniest guy in his price range.

Tom Foss

From 2005 to 2015, Tom Foss, as part of Comics on Duty, traveled around the world entertaining our troops. His shows have included tours of Iraq, Afghanistan, the Middle East, Europe, and Greenland, and Asia, as well as performances on aircraft carriers, support ships and bases all around the United States.

While not on tour overseas, Foss keeps his foot on the ground as a regular at the Improv, Funny Bones, and world-famous The Comedy Store in Hollywood. You can hear him regularly on Sirius XM satellite radio and his Dry Bar Comedy Special.

John Wessling

Native Texan John Wessling was a finalist on “Last Comic Standing” on NBC, roasted Jeff Foxworthy on Comedy Central, told jokes on “Live at Gotham,” made comedy history by performing in all 50 states in 50 consecutive days, performed 2 years in a row at the world-famous Just For Laughs festival in Montreal and dominated as “Killer B” on Versus network’s “Fanarchy.” He is an award-winning podcaster and hosts the “After Later” podcast and “Sports Riot Live” on Twitch. He has also worked as a major-market syndicated sports talk radio host.
