Crowns & Capes, an interactive character meet and greet for families, will be touring with Armed Forces Entertainment in April as part of Month of the Military Child. The tour will star a variety of popular superhero and princess characters and will feature 10 shows between April 4-19, 2024.

Amber Lawson, a Detroit, Michigan native and military spouse of six years created “Crowns and Capes”. She traveled with military tours in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Caribbean. A professional dancer, Lawson later branched into acting, eventually earning a Bachelor of Arts in Dance, Musical Theater and Arts Management.

Lawson has performed in over 1,000 immersive shows and off-Broadway productions and currently directs immersive theater performances full-time in Los Angeles. Lawson sees the magic in what stories and interactions with beloved characters can do for children in their development and creativity, and is honored to help our bravest children who support their families around the world to discover their ability to play, create and dream.

Crowns and Capes includes a variety of events for children and their families, including superhero training, princess lessons, dining with characters and more.

AFE has been committed to boosting the morale and well-being of service members and their families stationed overseas through world-class live events and performances since 1951.
