If you’re a fan of Armed Forces Entertainment shows, you’ll be happy to know the organization’s fully revamped website is now a lot more mobile-friendly.
AFE is the Department of Defense organization that provides entertainment to U.S. service members and their families stationed overseas.
Its website is now easier to check out on mobile devices, and it’s more visually engaging. Media galleries showcase all the acts that come through, including videos about artists who’ve performed, and users can connect via social media. Oh, and another important thing: download speeds have dramatically increased!
“Creating a more mobile-centric user experience – making sure our users, especially overseas, can easily access and enjoy the content we’re sharing – was a priority,” said Air Force Maj. Jody Wynans, chief of Armed Forces Entertainment. “We really wanted to create a more interactive experience.”
The updated site, ArmedForcesEntertainment.com, also allows service members stationed worldwide to more easily search for information about upcoming events and touring artists. The revamped site is less cluttered than before, so performance specifics for locations around the world are easier to find.
If you’re a big fan of social media, you can keep up to date with the latest AFE social content across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and connect directly from the homepage.
“Through each one of our shows, we set out to bring our U.S. military personnel and their families abroad a touch of home. We’re thrilled that our new website has amplified our ability to do this,” Wynans said.
