Naval Base Guam sets concert, fireworks on July 4
News

U.S. Naval Base Guam will host its next open-base event, the Freedom Rocks Festival, on July 4 at Polaris Point. This free event is open to the Guam community.
Armed Forces Entertainment will present a concert by the alternative rock band Papa Roach, starting at 7pm. Fireworks will commence soon after the concert. There will be static displays of Navy equipment, a car show, rides for kids, food vendors (from various American and Chamorro eateries), and various beverages (including water, soda, and beer).
Gates at Polaris Point open at 3pm, and the event starts at 4pm. A valid ID (such as a Guam driver’s license, except children under 16) is required to enter Polaris Point for this free event—all patrons must be U.S. citizens. Patrons are reminded not to bring large bags, alcohol, coolers, pets, or unlawful items (such as guns, knives, etc.). Small bags and purses will be checked at the parking lot. Additionally, as a parental advisory, some songs contain explicit lyrics.
