May 25, 2023 – Live music performers Pop ROCKS will be performing with Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) this summer. The group, who were also part of AFE’s 70th Anniversary tour, will be performing five shows as part of AFE’s annual Heat Wave campaign, which features musicians, athletes, and other talented performers. Their shows run from June 24 to July 4 of this year.
Members of Pop ROCKS describe themselves as “a high energy live music show that brings the biggest dance party hits made to fill the floor.” They perform covers of top 40 hits and famous songs from a variety of genres, including hip-hop, country, party rock, and oldies. They are known for their unique costumes and presentation, which includes caricatures of famous celebrities and original medleys of famous songs. According to the group, a Pop ROCKS show “is what you get when you combine the music of a DJ, the theatrics of a Broadway musical, and the live energy of an arena rock extravaganza.”
The group has headlined several events in the midwestern United States and beyond, including Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth, MN; Oktoberfest in La Crosse, WI; and the Canadian Bass Fishing Championships in Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada. They have also performed for audiences in Las Vegas, NV; New Orleans, LA; and Panama City, Panama. In addition to their regular performances, they perform multiple shows a year for military audiences, and have performed in places like Kuwait, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Paris, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
The Pop ROCKS tour is presented by AFE. Since 1951, AFE has been providing the best performances for U.S. troops and their families stationed overseas, and they are committed to boosting the morale and well-being of service members through world-class live events and performances.
