May 8, 2023 – Musical artist Kelandy will be touring U.S. military bases in May and June of this year. Born in Hawaii into a musical family, music has been important to Kelandy from an early age. He was also born into an active military family that was stationed around the county and overseas, which exposed him to a variety of musical influences that have shaped his unique sound. Kelandy will be performing in eight shows from May 22–June 4, 2023.
While Hawaiian music plays a distinct role in Kelandy’s music, it is also heavily influenced by R&B, soul, and rock. The result is a unique sound that has made his songs, like “Have a Little Faith” and “Party on the Wknd,” commercial successes. He became seriously interested in music while living on the East Coast, where he was exposed to new types of music. After singing in youth choir programs and developing his voice, he became the lead singer of the band Hang 11. In 2015, he launched his solo career, where he has seen success on local and regional radio and media networks.
Kelandy’s love for music and passion for people have fueled his career; his songs have even featured fan talent. In 2018, he released his first EP album, Love Revolution, which was produced by Lapana Studios. His music can often be heard on Hawaiian radio stations, where he frequently tops the charts with his singles.
The tour is presented by Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE). Since 1951, AFE has been providing the best performances for U.S. troops and their families stationed overseas, and they are committed to boosting the morale and well-being of service members through world-class live events and performances.
