We’re mere days away from the largest sporting event in the world kicking off.

The FIFA World Cup is set to take place in November 2022 in Qatar after adjusting its date for the intense heat of the Middle East country.

Armed Forces Entertainment is getting in on the action with the World Cup All Star Soccer tour heading out to Southwest Asia, Honduras and Curacao. The tour starts November 3 and will feature soccer stars who have appeared at both the World Cup and the Olympics.


 


Football, more commonly known as soccer in the United States, is the top sport of the world with an estimated 4 billion fans. That’s more than half the population of the planet!

The World Cup is known as the greatest stage in the world for some of the sport’s most beloved athletes like Lionel Messi, Péle, and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Thirty-two teams will compete in this year’s world cup and it is expected to grow to 48 teams for the
2026 tournament which will be hosted in North America between the United States, Mexico and Canada.
