How do I get schedule information on specific shows?
We make it easy. The calendar and menu of events are categorized by genre and region, right here on our site.
-
Why do entertainers perform for the military?
Performers need to perform. It's in their DNA. Plus, going on tour with Armed Forces Entertainment is an opportunity for artists to give back and honor the sacrifices deployed servicemembers and their families make on behalf of our country. For up-and-coming artists, touring with AFE is a great way to build an audience. For established artists, it's an up-close-and-personal way to say thanks to fans.
-
How much do tickets cost?
It's FREE to attend every Armed Forces Entertainment show. Every single show, every single time.
-
Why are there occasional schedule changes?
Sometimes emergencies and personal challenges pop up for scheduled artists. Add the uncertainty of world politics, and tour agendas inevitably shift. We rush the updates to the effected venue and make changes to the online show schedule as quickly as possible. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen, and we're sorry for the inconvenience.
-
Can I invite non-military people to AFE events?
It depends on the rules of your installation. In general, yes, non-military guests are allowed at AFE shows. But military personnel are our priority.
Renée Percy is an award-winning actor, writer and comedian. She caught the acting bug at age 12 when she landed a series regular role on the wildly popular television series “Degrassi High.” Since then, Percy has appeared on NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, Nickelodeon, Disney, FX and Comedy Central, in shows such as “Mom,” “Superstore,” “The Goldbergs” and “Workaholics.” She has written for numerous television shows, toured the country doing stand-up comedy, received a Canadian Comedy Award and the Phil Hartman Award, and she is only one stamp short of a free yogurt at Pinkberry. She has opened for the likes of Jay Leno, Arsenio Hall, Jeff Garlin, Craig Robinson, Preacher Lawson, Jamie Kennedy, Orny Adams, Michael Rapaport, Yakov Smirnoff and Bill Burr, to name a few. She can be seen performing sketches on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”
Originally from Toronto, Percy is now living the dream in Los Angeles, and you can catch her performing live at the Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, the Improv, Flappers Comedy Club & Restaurant, The Comedy & Magic Club and part of the Netflix is a Joke Comedy Festival. Her new album “The Komic Sutra” was the #1 comedy album on iTunes. Percy also released a TV special of the same name.
Steve Mazan is an American stand-up comedian, television writer, and author. Mazan won an Emmy Award for his writing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” performed comedy on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and is known for his clean and clever comedy style.
In 2005, Mazan was diagnosed with inoperable metastatic neuroendocrine cancer and told he may only have 5 years to live. Mazan decided to spend the time he had left pursuing his dream of performing comedy on David Letterman’s show.
His journey was the subject of the feature-length documentary “Dying To Do Letterman.” The International Documentary Association invited the film to qualify for Academy Award consideration. HCI Books later contracted Mazan to write an autobiography based on his experiences, titled “Dying To Do Letterman: Turning Someday Into Today.”
Dewayne White is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after comics on the scene. Hailing from Washington, D.C., his no-nonsense, East Coast demeanor seamlessly transforms into hilarity on stage. He draws on his experiences as a combat-wounded Army veteran, husband, and father with a no-holds-barred attitude.
With irreverent observations and infectious energy, White always delivers an unforgettable evening of laughter. He’s shared the stage with comedy heavyweights like Josh Blue, Mark Normand and Jo Firestone; now he’s headlining comedy clubs across the country and touring internationally with USO or Armed Forces Entertainment.
Keith Ellis is a passionate visionary and observer who has managed to turn negatives into positives with his witty ways of looking at life. As a comedian, he touches upon common subjects with a magic that is both thought-provoking and absolutely hilarious.
Ellis has travelled to Europe to perform for our U.S. troops and has done shows in Germany and the Czech Republic, making him an international success.
Elllis, the 2018 Clean Comedy U.S.A. contest winner, also has some acting credits on his resume. He has been featured in films, such as “Waiting To Exhale,” “Any Given Sunday,” “Twisted” and “Three Kings,” appearing alongside such stars as George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson. Ellis has also appeared in several commercials.
Ellis continues reinventing himself as a comedian and molds his material to keep pace with society’s rapidly changing lifestyle. He is a comedian whose purpose is not only to entertain, but also to support, inspire and motivate his audience with 100 percent clean family-friendly comedy.
