Hoobastank will be touring with Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) this August. Hoobastank is an alt rock band that was formed in 1994 and is best known for their hit song “The Reason.” The tour, which will perform at bases across Europe and the Mediterranean, will run from August 2-5 and feature three shows.
In 2023, Hoobastank is celebrating 20 years since the release of their sophomore album “The Reason.” Following the success of their 2001 debut Hoobastank (which featured hit singles “Crawling In The Dark,” “Running Away,” and “Remember Me,” all of which have since been certified RIAA platinum), “The Reason”, featuring the hugely successful single of the same name, helped solidify the band as a household name. The album went platinum four times and racked up multiple number one chart positions.
“The Reason” has over three billion streams and views, with the band’s catalog surpassing the four billion mark across digital service providers, and almost 1 billion views of the official “The Reason” music video on YouTube.
In recent years, Hoobastank has seen a resurgence in popularity thanks to social media and features in TV shows. The viral success of the #NotAPerfectPerson trend on TikTok brought new attention to the hit single, with over 946 million views over 201k posts featuring the song. After being featured in Netflix’s show Beef, “The Reason” re-entered the iTunes Rock charts and appeared on Shazam’s US Top 200.
Hoobastank currently has over nine million monthly listeners and two million followers on Spotify. “Crawling in The Dark” has 115 million streams on the platform, while “The Reason” has over 815 million streams and counting. The band looks forward to continuing their success in the years to come, and are touring later this year.
AFE has been committed to boosting the morale and well-being of service members and their families stationed overseas through world-class live events and performances since 1951.
