May 10, 2023 – AFE presented a tour with Chef Robert Irvine in April, where he visited bases in Poland. During his visits, he served meals and met with troops, where he talked about leadership qualities and the importance of physical and mental well-being. The tour was recently featured by ABC News, where Chef Irvine recounted his experiences. “Visiting troops is something really special”, Chef Irvine said when asked why he wanted to do the tour. “Partnering [with] Armed Forces Entertainment this time was just great.”

On his experiences visiting the troops, Chef Irvine said they visited “eight bases in five days, so it was a lot of work”. Poland was chosen as the tour location, as troops stand in readiness to support Ukraine. Chef Irvine’s message to armed forces overseas was, “we’re thinking about you, we’re here, we support you.”
